Scarlet Cord Conclave No. 540 — News & Events

The very first working meeting of Scarlet Cord Conclave No 540 was held at Rowfant House, Wallage Lane, Rowfant, Crawley, West Sussex, RH10 4NG on Monday 23rd November 2009 commencing at 4.30pm.

The Conclave was opened and a ballot for a joining member was taken. The ballot was in favour of the joining member, Ted Smith and he was welcomed by the SR, Paul Rose, the Right Worthy Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler, Vic Wisden, and all the members of the Conclave.

The Conclave was adjourned and a Consistory was opened.

Ten candidates took their first grade in this new and exciting order and the ceremony went quite smoothly, probably due to a good quality rehearsal the week before the meeting.

After the ceremony the Consistory was closed and Scarlet Cord Conclave was resumed. The general business was dealt with and the Conclave was duly closed.

There followed a meeting of Sword Invictae Conclave No 516.

The next meeting of Scarlet Cord will be held on the second Monday in March 2010 that being the 9th March when it is hoped to perform a second grade ceremony. The Scarlet Cord meetings will all be held on the same evening as Sword Invictae Conclave No 516 unless you are advised differently.
