Royal Sussex Conclave No. 10 — News & Events

The last meeting of the Conclave was opened by the Supreme Ruler, Wy.Bro. Martin Moore at 5pm at Littlehampton Masonic Centre, Littlehampton, on Tuesday 6th April 2010.

The Right Worthy Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler, Victor Alan Wisden, was welcomed, saluted and thanked the assembled brethren for the warmth of their reception of him.

As it was the Installation meeting of the Conclave, the Supreme Ruler proceeded to install Worthy Brother Gerry Furniss into the Chair of the Conclave. The Address to the Supreme Ruler was given by Worthy Brother Paul Rose, the Conclave DC, and the lecture on the weapons was given in a most exemplary manner, (for the fourth time in the recent past), by brother Sam Bendyshe-Brown.

The officers of the Conclave were then appointed and invested by the Supreme Ruler and following the rest of general business, the Conclave was closed. The Principal Officers of the conclave accompanied by the Right Worthy Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler and other distinguished guests, retired from the conclave to the Maltravers Club for Dinner.

The festive board was, as usual, a most friendly and happy occasion with a good meal and excellent company. We retired from the table at 8.45pm having enjoyed a really great meeting and dinner.

Our next meeting will be on Tuesday 5th October 2010 at 4.30pm, (tea and biscuits at 3.45pm), and we are hoping to perform a Princes degree. The Right Worthy Provincial Grand Supreme Ruler will be attending, so if you would like to attend, you will be made very welcome. Please contact the Secretary for any more information, he will also book you in for dinner after the meeting if you so wish.

May the Friend of all Friends be with you and all your loved-ones.
